Val di Suga Rosso di Montalcino 2015
This wine is from the vineyards surrounding the Val di Suga winery, on the northern slope of Montalcino. It is one of the three historic areas of Montalcino, with clayey soils where Sangiovese rises up in elegance and finesse.
- Vineyards: Val di Suga vineyards in Montalcino's three historic vineyards (40% from Vigna del Lago, 30% from Poggio al Granchio and 30% from Vigna Spuntali)
Fermentation and maceration take place at a controlled temperature of 25˚–30˚C (77˚–86˚F) in 150hl stainless-steel for 15 days. The wines are then aged for 6 months in Slavonian oak, followed by a minimum of 3 months in bottle.
